The story of a famous painting by Gustav Klimt, the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I, inspired the movie Woman in Gold. The film tells the tale of a work of art stolen in 1938, eventually recovered by the family. It can now be seen at the Neue Galerie in New York.

Woman in gold, golden inspiration…

Painted in 1907, the Portrait of Adele Block-Bauer I is the first of two portraits Klimt made of his Viennese patron and friend. It is considered the final and most fully representative work of his golden phase.

We love the bright golden tones and the fine details of the dress and background. And we thought this would look stunning printed in high definition in shiny silk!
