What is the composition of quilts and patchwork blankets?

All large bedspreads and baby blankets, as well as most decorative throws and quilts, are made of 2 layers of GOTS certified organic cotton fabric with an organic cotton batting sandwiched between the two.

Some models of decorative throws and quilts can be made from natural silk fabric, with the option of wool or bamboo batting.

Are all your quilts modern or contemporary patchwork (modern quilts)?

Laplupart, yes. Fibra Creativa really likes modern patchwork, which differs from contemporary patchwork (while being rather recent).

Modern patchwork or modern patchwork is characterized by minimalist prints, simple geometric shapes, often a solid background but not always white - the famous negative space - and often an asymmetrical composition.

While most of our quilts are decidedly contemporary in style, we also offer models based on traditional designs, modernized.

What is the delivery time for Fibracreativa quilts?

Most of our quilts, throws, and patchwork bedspreads are made to order, within a timeframe of 4 to 6 weeks.

Certain models of non-customized baby throws or blankets, when in stock, are delivered within a few days after sewing a personalized label on the reverse side, and a sleeve for hanging if necessary.

Where to buy FibraCreativa patchwork quilts and blankets in store?

For the moment, nowhere. FIbra Creativa is a textile creation studio, located in Catalonia, without an attached store.

Because most of our products are customizable, we mainly manufacture on order and sell exclusively through our online shop.

We sometimes participate in trade shows and fairs, where we will be happy to meet you on occasion.

How are patchwork blankets for babies and children customizable?

Customization depends on the model, here are some examples:

  • the baby's first name appears large on the fabric on the front of the quilt, or small inserted in a fabric.
  • The birth date
  • a photo
  • The fabric on the back is personalized with the first name

How are wedding or anniversary gift quilts customizable?

Since the customization is integrated into the design, it depends on the model. Here are some examples:

  • the first names or initials
  • The wedding date
  • Photos of the bride and groom
  • The fabric of the personalized reverse or a text

For wedding gifts, we also create unique custom designs.

How to care for quilts, throws, and blankets?

Our patchwork covers and cotton throws are machine washable in cold water or at 30 degrees.

Depending on the washing machine's capacity, large bedspreads are often too tight in the drum and tend to be taken to the laundromat.

Dry cleaning is also an option.

Some decorative quilts may require hand washing or occasional dry cleaning. Often, it is enough to dust them off by shaking them.

How are decorative quilts hung on the wall?

Decorative quilts are equipped with a fabric sleeve on the back, sewn at the top of the quilt, through which a rod is passed to hang the quilt.

Some medium-sized throw blanket models can be used as a sofa throw or wall decoration. The sleeve will be sewn or not according to your choice.
